We are making our plans for the Montgomery Weekend
USLTC National Specialty will be October 6, 2019. Our regular class judge will be Mr. Alan Benson Johnston and our sweepstakes judge will be Mr. Rob McCarthy. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, and the new faces that come together to celebrate this huge terrier weekend.
Included in this packet is information about our host hotel, a form for advertising in the Montgomery catalog, (The catalog a collector’s item among world wide terrier enthusiasts), a dinner reservation form, directions to all events, show information as of print time, We will post any changes to the USLTC Events calendar on the club website.
The USLTC is still using The Days Inn (Horsham, PA) as our host hotel. Our educational seminar and Pizza Party will be held on Saturday night (October 5th ). The scheduled speaker will be Dr. Peterson, DVM. MS He is a well known and respected veterinary in the field of canine pediatrics medicine and will be giving a speech on those issues.
Saturday will be our Designated Specialty at the Devon Dog Show Association event in Ludwigs Corner, PA. Members and friends have donated prizes and rosettes for Devon.
We are going to have our Annual General Meeting and Awards dinner at The Spring Mill Country Club. You can pay for the dinner by check or by pay pal. If you choose pay pal, please indicate your dinner selection in the memo section and note Friends and Family (so there are no pesky fees) Our great silent auction will also take place at the dinner. Please plan on bringing an auction item; we have had in the past, many wonderful Lakie themed items, some gorgeous gift baskets, gift cards and more.
The USLTC will have the hospitality room at the Days Inn and it will be available for meeting and greeting from Wednesday night through MCKC.
We have not forgotten those members who like to do performance events. Several of the terrier clubs have gotten together to offer agility, obedience, barn hunt and more. A flyer on those events is included.
At our National Specialty at Montgomery County Kennel Club, we are requesting to have AM judging time so we can have our lunch after breed judging. The location will be in front of the College Hall underneath our pop up tents. The light luncheon will be catered, but plan on bringing your own chairs .We are going to ask for a couple tables for the food and I hope we can get a couple tables to sit around.
We will have a National Specialty Page set up on the web site and will update that with events, directions, judges, dinner reservations forms and more information as it becomes available.
We look forward to another successful National Specialty this year and look forward in seeing all our members, friends and their terriers.
